Colca Canyon 2 days

Start: at 08:00 at your hotel in Arequipa.

End: at 5:00 p.m. in the center of Arequipa.

Day 1: Pampa Cañahuas – Patapampa – Chivay.
We will pick you up at your hotel to take the highway and leave the city of Arequipa. Along the way, we will increase the height, so that we will make stops to acclimatize. One of them is Pampa Cañahuas, a reserve where you can see alpacas and vicuñas. Afterwards, we will make a short stop in Patahuasi, from where we will continue to a place called Tacra, where we will have the opportunity to observe the flora and fauna of the region.

The tour continues with a visit to Patapampa, the viewpoint of the volcanoes, which is located at an altitude of 4,800 m. After this, we will continue to the city of Chivay, where we can have lunch and settle in our respective hotels. During the afternoon, we can visit the La Calera hot springs (entrance not included) to relax and be free for dinner in the same city of Chivay. After this, we will go to rest for the next day.

Day 2: Cruz del Cóndor – Maca – Chivay – Arequipa.
We will get up early to take advantage of the hotel breakfast and then we will take our vehicle to visit the Cruz del Cóndor. In this place, we can tour and visit the viewpoint where you can see some condors in flight. Also, we will make stops in some towns such as Yanque and Maca, where we will have access to local squares and some handicrafts. After this, we will return to Chivay for lunch and then we will continue with the return to Arequipa, where our tour ends.

Chivay – Puno connection

In case you have a bus ticket from Chivay to Puno departing between 12:45 and 13:15, you can end this tour on the second day in Chivay, which means missing the last part of the tour between Chivay and Arequipa (Mirador de los Volcanes and Pampa Cañahuas National Reserve viewpoint). This must be requested once the online reservation has been made. It should be noted that the ticket must be purchased before the tour, since they are limited and sell out in advance. The bus companies that offer the Chivay – Puno route are 4M, May Tour and Rutas del Sur.
